Here are your options this week:
Humor led by Melinda Weick
After a very brief summary of the history of humor, kinds of humor, and purpose of humor, people will share a joke or a humorous story if they feel comfortable doing so.
Poetry Workshop led by Michael Crouch
The poetry seminar will address several of the following goals:
1. To share some of your favorite poems.
2. To share some poems that you have written in the past, or that you wrote specifically for this seminar.
3. To experience the poem writing process with a "live" writing exercise.
Indus Valley Civilization led by Noel Zinn
Noel will talk about the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC), also known as the Harappan Civilization (after one of its two main cities). The Bronze Age civilization in the northwestern regions of South Asia lasted from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE, but in its mature form from 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE. You can read about it in Wikipedia here.
Children & Youth’s Interest Group
Exploring the variety of human emotions through various forms of art.
The kids and youth are also welcome to attend any of the other discussions.
