Discussion on “We Need Your Help for Paradigm Shift for our Climate”

Now a third of Americans are alarmed about our climate and 25% are concerned. Can we save civilization? Can we prevent human extinction? Some of you have taken action. Some of you have let prophecies of doom get you down. Others have, to keep sane, shrugged and ignored it.

Earth Emergency is a new PBS show you can view online. It tells how nature's systems are getting worse and worse, faster and faster. In a similar way, humanity's response can pass a tipping point and skyrocket. It took us 40 years to get to this moment. Now we have the opportunity to help change the game from crisis to regeneration of the web of life.

If we let 9% of life grow back, it would sequester all our emissions since 1800 said Paul Hawken. Plants and trees are sequestering a third of our emissions now. Hawken's new book, Regeneration, reports on the state of the ecosystems and on humanity's movements to restore them. Hawken says “Put life at the center of every action and decision.”
