TOPIC:  Civility

Just after attending the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, Jill Biden said that the event  “was really surreal to see and experience.”  She added, "I felt as I sat there, I felt this sense of decorum and CIVILITY that bind together people of all nations."

• Why do you think George considered civility essential?

• Which of his rules do you think we most need now?

Our discussion will then wander wherever it goes:

• Do you think our nation is less civil now than in the past?  If so, when and why did civility decrease?

• How would you compare and contrast “civility" with “wokeness”?

• How can civility be taught and encouraged?
