Adult Discussion Group: “Antisemitism & Extremism”

Discussion on “Understanding The Rise in Antisemitism and Extremism”

Guest Speaker: Mark Toubin, Regional Director, Anti-Defamation League, Southwest Region

Founded in 1913, The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) seeks to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, to fight bigotry and hate, and to secure justice and fair treatment for all. During this time, when so many extremists seem to be energized by conspiracy theories and radical lies, the ADL is keeping busy. ADL Regional Director, Mark Toubin, will join us on Sunday, March 6 to talk about understanding this rise in antisemitism and extremism. If you are interested, here is a link to the ADL’s recent interactive map entitled “The January 6 Effect: An Evolution of Hate and Extremism” highlighting the ways in which elements of extremism and hate have been normalized over the past 12 months, and providing a roadmap of where this newly mainstreamed extremism may be heading.

Login begins at 9:15 AM so you can see everyone before meeting & screen share begins.

Meeting starts promptly at 9:30 AM.

This is a recurring meeting every Sunday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.
