We Are the World
In 1970, environmentalists all over the world came together to proclaim “Earth Day”.  In the 50 years since—despite many successes—monitored populations of wild species have declined by an average of almost 70%, and we are well along in the 6th Mass Extinction. Unfortunately, such global statistics can seem distant and impersonal. Are UUs alone in heartfelt “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence”? Well, not really. It reminds me of a story…
