Sunday, December 10, 11 am “A Soldier in the Woodshed at Years End” -Speaker - Cathy Vance
This is the time of year when people traditionally make "New Year's resolutions." Catherine Vance tells the story of her pilgrimage to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania at the end of 2017. She wanted to examine the problem of separation-- the national divide as well as her sense of disconnection from her Southern heritage and from people with views different from her own. How, she asked, can we heal our brokenness and be a better nation? But also, how can we resolve to be the best version of ourselves in the future, both personally and collectively?
