Winter Solstice and Doldrums @ 11AM in the Sanctuary
presentation by Betty Johnson
The winter solstice is a natural event that has been observed for all of recorded history by many indigenous peoples and cultures. When the sun is at its lowest point in the northern hemisphere, it is the shortest and darkest day of the year. The solstice is also a spiritual opportunity to go inward, to prepare for the longer days ahead, and to care for ourselves, our loved ones and our community. We'll explore how the solstice is celebrated in various cultures, explore the winter blues, and learn how to harness the season's "magic".
During ADG Sunday Service, Religious Education is offered for children 5 and over, and a nursery is available by prior request.
You are invited to join us for light snacks after ADG.
Masks are now optional.
