Our summer ADG series : COOL Summer Discussions / TalkBack
“Jeremy Bentham”
In this TalkBack Service, Noel Zinn will tell us about Jeremy Bentham, an English philosopher, jurist, and social reformer regarded as the founder of modern utilitarianism. Bentham defined as the "fundamental axiom" of his philosophy the principle that "it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong." After the presentation, the service will be open for questions, comments, and discussion from the congregation.
June 25th to July 30th we will meet in Thoreau’s Sanctuary at 11AM for Talkback Service.
Talkback Service is a moderated group discussion, which begins with a presentation of 15-20 minutes, followed by Q&A.
Discussions are open to all young adult and adult members, friends, and visitors.
During Talkback Sunday Service, Religious Exploration is offered for children 5 and over, and childcare is available for children under 5.
Children will not start out in the service, but rather go straight to the Clark Cabin.
You are invited to join us for coffee and light snacks after Service.
Masks are now optional.
