July 14: Angie WierzbickiI on Recycling in Fort Bend, with emphasis on textile recycling.

Angie Weirzbecki, a volunteer at Missouri City Green, and Sam Ebenezer, of Green City Recycler, will be discussing fabric recycling, how to do it and why it is important. Did you know that clothing and fabric are one of the major polluters? The average American produces 35 pounds of textile waste each year, and only about 1/3 of that will be recycled. Yet, textiles are almost 100% recyclable.  Come find out how textile recycling works and what you can do to help the problem. 

July 7th to August 11th we will meet in Thoreau’s Sanctuary at 11AM for Talkback Service.

The Adult Discussion Group is a moderated group discussion, which begins with a presentation of 15-20 minutes, followed by Q&A.

Discussions are open to all young adult and adult members, friends, and visitors.
