How to get along with others from a different world view. (Peaceful coexistence of different interests, worldviews, convictions, and lifestyles). Mostly drawing from many years experience being and working for both sides of the fence as a Pentecostal preacher, then later as a secular Humanist speaker and activist. And, getting out of my bubble as an in home Personal trainer for 17 years, entering all types of people’s homes and environments and learning the plentiful abundance of the commonalities of humanity .
Bio: 1976-1989 Pentecostal Preacher .
1990 turned secular .
2012-2022- feeding the homeless every Saturday morning.
2014-2021 Host of the Preaching Humanist You Tube show.
2013-2022 sign holding Saturday morning activism for Secular Humanism in Austin and the San Antonio Alamo.
2017-2020 Tabling for the Atheist Community of Austin once a month at Georgetown Market Days.
2017-2022 passing out literature in public places for the various secular groups in Austin.
2016-2022 Public speaker for Austin, state wide in Texas, and national secular communities, in person and zoom.
2016- speaker at my brother’s funeral service in Slidell, La. At a Pentecostal Church.
2021- speaker at my parents memorial service in Georgetown, Texas in a southern Baptist church along with many Pentecostals present.
Adult Discussion Group will be meeting in person @ 9:45AM in Thoreau’s Clark Cabin except on the third Sunday of each month when we will meet in the Sanctuary @ 11AM.
Masks are now optional. The AC and HEPA filter will be running to keep Clark Cabin & the Sanctuary as safe as possible.
For those that prefer: We will provide ZOOM via the OWL system when we meet in the cabin & our Moderator Tamara will recognize your hand up and add you to the queue.
