August 27 – “Are We the Ones We Have Been Waiting For?”
Despite our belief in love of one another and right action, Unitarian Universalism still has a history of failure to embrace change and examples of “slow to act" when it comes to creating diverse Beloved Community. Sometimes we forget that individual congregations are already empowered; we don't have to wait for society to change or for marching orders from the UUA. What can we be doing right now to be more heart-centered, to shine the light of welcoming and justice at our local level?
